Question re RAID 1

Can RAID 1 be set up to only include selected volumes (partitions) in the
mirror ?

Can the OS partition be excluded from the mirror ?

RAID1 (is normally done by hardware and) doesn't care what is on the
harddisk be it partitions or file system nor what O/S is running.

I forgot about your second question.
The answer is yes if the O/S is on a seperate drive that is not part of
the RAID1 array.
