i currently have windows XP home installed on my computer
that ive had for about a year and a half, but i want to
upgrade to windows XP pro without having to reformat. i
was just wondering is this is possible to do. i havent
been able to find an upgrade but i just wanted to check.

yes, just buy an Windows XP Professional Upgrade Disc and you will be fine.

FYI, an XP Home to Pro upgrade is the most stable and pain free upgrade out
of all of the Windows operating systems.
IMHO, I would do an upgrade from Home, but a clean install for any other
Windows OS.
