I upgraded from a Maxtor 20GB to a 40GB. I have a lot of
files. The way to do it that is cost effective is to set
up your old drive as a "SLAVE" and the new drive
as "MASTER". Then in the maxblast software that runs as
you boot you can copy an "IMAGE" of your old drive
the "SLAVE" TO THE "MASTER". Pro-it copies it all and will
run fine after. Con-slow takes hours depending on the
number and file size. In the old days it was fast but no
more. I will say this though let it run and go do
something else. It does work and I have done it MANY
times. Floppies are not the way. They have drive cloners-
but they run about $1200.00.
