i'm not much of a computer whiz, but i sometimes have this
problem where instead of powering off it restarts the
computer, check with your motherboard physical
configuration that the case power switch is in the right
place. if that isnt the case, then tell me if it goes to
the screen goes black or you get a "it is now safe to turn
off your computer screen" in either one of these cases,
you can just push the power on this screen and it will be
okay, but you will have to do that every time.
