Logging on to XP message says I have two emai msgs.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
When I startup XP there is a message under the Admin sign on that states I
have two email msgs. However, when I click on it the message only states
who the email msgs are from. I cannot find these messages and can't get rid
of this message when starting Windows.
I would appreciate any help with this problem. I am just getting into this
computer thing and guess I am to old to figure out this system yet.
