No sound at all, I have a xp driver, it says in device
manager that everything is working fine.

I have the same soundcard and it works a treat. With the limited clues you
have given I can only suggest you check that your speakers are plugged into
the correct socket. Also did you uninstall the previous card in Device
Manager?
