The icons for Internet and Outlook Express were on my
Quick Launch pad, and they have suddently jumped off. I
must have inadvertently done something with the mouse
that made them do this. The icon for Internet jumped off
about a month ago, and this evening the icon for Outlook
Express jumped off. Both are now in the general area of
the Desktop. It is more convenient to have them on the
Launch pad, but I can't get them back on, and haven't
found any explanation for how to do this. I tried right-
clicking the mouse and dragging, but they cannot be
dragged onto the Quick Launch pad. What caused them to
jump off, and how can I get them back on?

Did you try right click on taskbar / Toolbars / click on Quick Launch.

Try putting the icons (copy, paste) into the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch
where USERNAME should be the name you log in to Windows as.
If you are looking in Explorer for this folder, you have to use the View
menu to turn on display hidden folders first.
Good luck!
