I am running Windows XP Pro. I want to enable Smooth
Fonts, but "Appearance and Themes" does not appear in my
Control Panel. How can I fix this?
Thanks.

Appearance and Themes is a Category view. And if you have
selected to "Switch to Classic View" for Control Panel. Or if
you have configured your computer to "Use Windows classic
folders", you will not see the Appearance and Themes category.
Use the Control Panel applet by the following name instead:

Display

For more information search the Windows XP Professional Help
and Support Center for the words in double-quotes (without the
quotes) and read the topics by those titles.

Note: To quickly open Display in Control Panel click Start,
click Run, type the following command and click OK:

desk.cpl

If the option 'Switch to Category View' appears on the left-hand pane, then
click it. Appearance and Themes should be restored.
