I'm guessing you have, at least, Roxio installed?
A damaged Roxio can bring the whole house of cards down
that an uninstall/reinstall won't fix. It has to be very
technically and surgically hacked.
You could do searches on the SFC command. I don't know how
it works exactly, but it's supposed to forcibly replace
all Windows files with fresh-install files. And it's not
supposed to disrupt your application installs the way a
reinstall will.
