Hello,

I upgraded to a new hard drive two months ago,
and I put windows xp on it and it worked great.
However, I recently installed Mcafee Virus Scan 7.0,
on it, then restarted it. Thats when all my
problems started.

When It restarted it seemed fine during BIOS,
then when it turned it over to my Operating
System it crashes right away. And it just
keeps doing that. I took it to the computer
shop and the guy said my hard drive was to
big for my computer. It's a 20gb and the
original was a 8gb. But it worked for two
months with no problems. I'm thinking
he didn't know what was wrong with it
and he wanted to make a quick buck.
He wanted 200$ for putting in a new
hard drive. Screw that! I put the
original back in but I would like
to use my new one. If anybody
has any advice or can help me
out that would be great.
Thanks for any help!

Hello

HAve you tried booting into safe mode and try to
remove Mcafee, on the boot up process PRESS F8
and see if you can get into safe mode where you can install
the software, have you tried that, or does it still reboot
even if you have tried that.
