How do I print a folder index in XP

Hi, Betty.
By "folder index", do you mean you want a printed version of the directory
that you see in Windows Explorer? Do you need the list expanded to show
subdirectories (subfolders) as well?
In an Explorer window, right-click on the name of a folder and choose Print
Directory Listing.
You also can produce such a printout from the "DOS" window by using the Dir
or Tree command and directing the output to your printer with the > symbol,
for example: dir C:\ > prn
If that's NOT what you wanted to know, please post back.

There's a couple of ways. The use of a third-party product, or dropping to
the command line and switching to the folder in question and typing the
following command
dir > prn
or
dir > lpt1
