Hi all
Can someone tell me how to get the Windows Address Book to default to the
'Main Identity' rather than the 'Shared Contacts'
All my entries are in the 'Main Identity' so I have to select it every time
I send a fax and use the address book to select a destination.
I know its only a minor issue but it would be nice to remove at least one
unecessary mouse click. <G>

You should ask this in an OE group. It is not a Fax question.
Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlooke xpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlook express for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress for OE 6.x
A good website for information on OE is:

Pardon me Russ, but I don't use OE and my 'problem' occurs using the
Windows Fax program. I can't help it if it uses the Windows Address Book.
I didn't mean to offend anyone, to me this was the obvious place to ask.

It was the logical place to ask, but the question you are asking will not
likely receive an answer here because it has to do with the behavior of the
Windows Address Book, not the Windows XP Fax program. XP Fax hands off
address book functions to the WAB for users who do not use Outlook. I've
never seen or used the WAB because I use Outlook. I'm sure it will be a
simple question for those who use and are familiar with the WAB. I'm just
trying to direct you to the place you will be more likely to get an answer.
