Hi.
I Just got a new Intel D865GBF motherboard/P4 computer and
it has XP SP1. I think I have a problem, but can not
verify it! When I connect my new Adaptec VIDEOh, USB2.0
Video capture device (Very good by the way)to the
computer's High Speed USB 2.0 ports, it says I am
connecting a high speed device to a low speed port! After
about five seconds the msg goes away and everything seems
to work OK?? I have all of the required USB 2.0 drivers
(Per Microsoft) in my sys32 folder, and in the BIOS it
says my Enhanced USB 2.0 ports are Enabled. No yellow ! in
the Device manager!
QUESTION: How can I verify if it is really working at
high speed or low USB 1.1 speed ?
Thank you.

Have you verified that XP has the appropriate driver for the capture
device, or that Adaptec has an updated driver available that must be
installed before connecting the capture device?

I would double check the BIOS settings. If memory serves me
correctly for the i865 chipset the USB 2.0 must be enabled.
The setting should be under intigrated periphials.
Then go to device manager and there should be an entry
under universal serial bus controllers that says standard
enhanced PCI to USB......etc.
