Good day folks,
Recently did an upgrade from windows 98 to windows XP.
The windows 98 are bound by policy from an old NT domain.
Upgrading directly without first unjoining the domain,
found that the new XP inherited all the restriction set
back in windows 98 time, include disable registry
editing, desktop and others. And all the restriction is
also applied to the build in administrator as well. Is
there anyway to resolve this by returning the windows XP
to the default local policy and return the default
administrator acct to normal ? I have try to join the XP
machine to the Win2k domain, however the policy doesn't
seem to propagate down and everything remains as back in
windows 98 client days. Anyone can help ?

thanks for any advised there is
