keyboard characters

Besides UK English I use a Hungarian keyboard. It works in Word, Notepad, Worpad. When I type on the Internet the Hungarian characters come out OK with the exception of two characters. The same two characters are wrong in other non-Word type of programmes.
I've checked all my settings, even tried Character Map (it doesn't do anything). Can anybody suggest a solution?
