activation

[Not so quick]

I'm getting to the end of the 30 days.
I have two video cards but one is out
of the box and won't be used until I
get another monitor. Should I install
it before activation? What kinds of
suggestions do you have before I
activate?

I would install the video card that was to be the permanent card.

In any event, it really does not matter as far as Activation goes.
Worst case will be a 5 minute call (number will be on the screen) to
Microsoft after the card is replaced.

You should be fine. Activation isn't required for every single hardware
change. There is a little leeway.
