View Full Version : Capturing screen images to paste in documents

In desperation, I turn to the experts out there.
How do I capture a screen image, for instance a web page,
and copy it into a Word document? Simply selecting,
copying and pasting in HTML format doesn't work.
Any ideas you brainy people?

Martin,
You can capture the screen image by doing the following key combinations.
ALT-PRTSCN - This will capture the active window
CTRL - PRTSCN - This will capture everything on the monitor.
After you capture it, you can go into Microsoft Word (or MSPAINT) and do
either a CTRL - V (Paste) or Right click - Paste.
Hope this helps.
Thx,
Nico

Although this is correct, Martin should note that what is
captured is a graphic image of the screen. What is pasted into
Word is a picture, not editable text.

It is a bmp file and it is big, if you're going to email the
file, save it (or a copy) as a jpg and reduce the size to
something not too big. You can do it with Paint or any
photo editor. The XP PowerToy image resizer is handy,
unfortunately it doesn't have the ability to change format
(bmp to jpg), just size, but it can do batches.
