I have backed up my files and settings to a networked
computer in my home. I did a quick ntfs format and did a
clean install of win xp pro. I then copied my .dat files
back to the computer and did a files and settings
transfer wizzard and get an error message before it
finishes. The error is: Cannot complete the transfer, an
error occured while the wizzard was loading you data.
Then it says make sure you have enough disk space
avaiable.

Well I have plenty of disk space, so thats not the prob.
I have got lost of importand info. in these .dat files
anyone that can help me out I would be greatful to.

try opening the files fron the network, if you can then simply save them ¬as¬ if this doesnt work then you may have to refomat back to fat 32 as depending on the dat files were you saved thee may be compatabilty isues

FAT32 will not support a file size greater than 4GB, so there may be a major
issue copying the .dat file. Suggest the user import directly from the
network location.
