I have MS Works Suite 2003 (which contains Word 2002
10.4030.2625). My OS is Windows XP, and my printer is a
Lexmark Z53. I am able to print the envelopes listed in
Word just fine, but when I create a CUSTOM size envelope,
it will not print correctly no matter what I select in
Envelope Options, then Printing Options. The "default"
or what is listed as "Word recommends feeding envelopes
as shown above" shows the envelope going in the middle of
the feed area, face up, clockwise rotation. Trust me,
this does NOT work. When I select the correct feed area -
- the far right, not rotated, face up - the return
address is printed over half way across the envelope and
the send to address is cut off on the right side! I even
tried setting up a page size the same as my custom sized
envelope (i.e., 7.88 inches X 5.5 inches). This didn't
work either as Word promptly told me the margins would
have to be automatically adjusted (from the .5" I had
set. Of course, this threw the whole address off! What
the heck is going on! Is there a fix for this?
Please feel free to send me a reply at my e-mail address,
since I have extreme difficulty finding my post after I
have posted. I have checked every where I know to look
for fixes and or updates to Word 2002, or MS Works Suite
2003, but have found none.
BTW, I also have a HP LaserJet 4P printer. I created the
custom envelope (7.88 inches X 5.5 inches) in Word and
printed it out perfectly on the HP LaserJet printer. The
printing options shown are correct for the HP LaserJet -
i.e., feed to the far left, face up).
Windows XP will NOT allow me to use the regular Lexmark
Printer Drivers. It insists I use Windows XP printer
drivers (i.e., Lexmark Z53 Color Jetprinter).
Any and all help is appreciated!
