When I boot my computer chkdsk keeps running but will only
partially complete and cycles right back into reboot. This
will happen indefinitely unless I hit a key to stop the
chkdsk which then allows the computer to go into Windows
XP. All works fine in window, however, if I attempt to
defrag it says I have to reboot and run chkdsk before I
can defrag.

Any suggestions would be apprectiated.

Try deleting all your temp files, cookies, temp internet files and try
chkdsk again. Sometimes the temp files become corrupted and create problems
with chkdsk.
