View Full Version : Show Windows contents while dragging

I have been unable to get my new Dell Dimension 4600 to save the setting
"Show Windows Contents While Dragging". I have selected the check box
located by right clicking on the Desktop, selecting properties, going to the
Appearance tab and locating Show windows contents while dragging. As soon
as I reboot, the check box becomes blank and I have to set it again. This
was a Windows XP Home pc that was booted up once new, rebooted and upgraded
to Windows XP Pro w/Service Pack 1 before I installed the rest of the
Microsoft Updates and installed programs.

Is there a registry setting somewhere I can change to make this setting
permanent? I have looked through the Group Policy snap in and cant find
anything there either.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Phillip,

It's caused by Dell Media Experience software. See this thread: =
