I know how to customize my folder view in Explorer - for instance, to default to Detail view, sorted by date.

How can I customize the Open and Save As dialogs in a similar fashion?

Well you can, sorta, but it has to be added at the root level and to the
side panel.

Hi you can do this using an app to get into the dll files. I once cam
accross it when I wanted to customize the start bar in windows 98. I cant
remember what its called resedit maybe?
