I have had a major system problem because of the blast worm. A box should come up saying "windows has encounted an error..... you have 1 minute to save all work and close all programs before your system shuts down." My computere didnt display this message
nor did it shut down but it did have theworm and cop the dammage. There is a dos/cmd command i found that starts a sytem shut down in the same mannor but wont cause any damage; 'shutdown.exe -s -f -c "windows has encountered an error you have one minute to
save work and close applications" -t 60' I found this while researching how to stop the shutdown and remove the worm the counter script is 'shutdon.exe -a' I didn't know i had the worm because somewhere there is a program that is opening its self and abor
ting the shutdown sequence before i could acknoledge its pressence. has anyone else had this program or knows how to delete it. It may sound like somthing useful but without the box coming up you wouldnt know that the worm was causing damage. Thankyou for
your time.

If shutdown. exe is your problem, just rename it: bye.exe
