Intelli point 4.0

I have installed the Intelli Point 4.0 hardware a few
times. I keep uninstalling it and reinstalling it. The
problem I am having is the mouse stops responding in the
middle of everything and I have keep restarting the
computer. I have windows xp home edition. How can I
correct this problem?? I have not found any updates for
this software. Thank you
