View Full Version : Back To The Future: Time Problem?

Greetings! Had a strange problem when I booted up this
morning: powered up my Dell notebook running WindowsXP
Pro and when I opened Outlook (the first thing I always
do to check my email), I noticed that the date on the
Outlook Today was June 1, 2004! And my Calendar items for
June 1st were there! Huh? For a minute, I thought I was
in a Back To The Future movie or some time warp! I
adjusted the calendar via the time settings. Re-booted
and everything seems to be fine. I looked at the Event
Viewer for System Errors and did see an error that
occurred when W32Time attempted to sychronize my computer
time setting: "The time service has detected that the
system time needs to be changed by +86401 seconds. The
time service will not change the system time by more than
+54000 seconds. Verify that your time and time zone are
correct, and that the time source time.nist.gov is
working properly." I am not sure what happened? Or what
is going on? This is the first ever for this! Any ideas,
comments, suggestions??? Thanks and God Bless!
