I installed windows xp on my comuter and I used the set up
to partition the hard disk. The operating system is on
the c drive. Now I have a d drive the econd partion, I
need to format it. I need to use the fdisk I was told.
So I have to create a startup disk and then using fdsk
formate my d drive.

I do not know how, it will be great if someone would give
me some hints.

Thank you

Why don't you use Disk Management instead (Start - > Settings -> Control Panel - > Administrative Tools - > Computer Management -> Disk Management)?

Always keep antivirus and spy removal applications (links on the bottom of the page) up-to-date, and scan regularly.

Use Disk Manager...

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Storage ->
Disk Management
