Hi,
My girlfriend and I have used both Windows and MSN msgr
for years. We were using MSN 6.2 a week ago with no
problems, when she turned her computer off then back on.
When she did the problem appeared. My machine stayed on.
Both sign in with no problem and IM works perfectly,
but when the Talk part tries to connect it gets nowhere.
Often it just does the "Connecting with ... " thing for a
few minutes then puts up the "Conversation has ended" but
sometimes I get the "Computer you are trying to reach is
having a problem" or other messages. Doesn't matter who
asks who.
We have both uninstall/reinstalled both Win and MSN and
the problem remains unchanged. Both do exactly the same
thing. We tried Yahoo msgr and it works fine. It seems
likely the problem is on her machine since mine was on the
whole time and the problem appeared when she restarted.
Other than this we are getting nowhere resolving this.
Anyone have any ideas what happened and how to fix?
