I have a P5, 1.7 Ghz, Aopen MX4 GVR motherboard and
logitech USB optical mouse (no other usb devices) and
sometimes when I boot up my PC the mouse do not work, I
have to unplug it and then plug it again to make it works,
other times everything is ok. I create a hardware profile
when the mouse was working fine and delete the original
hardware profile hoping that everything is going to be
fine in the future but... nothing.. sometimes it works
just fine, sometimes I have to unplug and then plug in the
mouse again.

Any suggestions?

Best regards,

Pedro.

Have you checked the Logitech site for updated drivers or software for your
mouse?
