I cannot seem to get accsess to the internet through internet explorer 6 and msn explorer, and the only way I can get accsess to the internet is through my real one media browser which to do that I have to go into my control panel/internetProperties/connec
tions and set my dialup connection to "always dial my default connection". Now when I open real one media browser and type in a address I am prompted to connect or work offline, I click connect and then the dial up connection dialog box comes up, I click c
ancel and then the web address I typed previously comes up.(and when it comes to downloading media I must right click and "save target as" or I will prompted and will not have a internet connection)

Can anybody help me?(please)
What I have done so far-
1. reinstalled windows xp
2. reinstalled internet explorer(first changing the registry key from 1 to 0)
3. pinged websites and got a response(my outlook express is working,my msn mesenger is working.)
4. cussed at my computer until the neighbors complained.

and none of these seemed to work.(except for 4, it felt good to get out all that bottled up rage,I thought computers were supposed to make life easier. this little ordeal has probably taked ten years of my life.)

Oh and I should probaly mention I get accsess to the internet via LAN
os- Windows xp

help
Thanks
Shelby

Are you sure you don't have a broadband (cable, dsl, satellite) internet
connection? Try deleting all the connections you have in the Internet
Properties applet of Control Panel and then running the Windows Internet
Connection Wizard. A broadband connection will be "always on" so there is
no dialing involved at all.
