Hi All,

I use the following machine:
IBM ThinkPad R32
CPU Intel P4M 1.6 MHz
RAM 256
HDD 20 GB (Internal)
OS WinXP Pro

I stared using an external 2.5 inch HDD which is USB 2.0,
40 GB Hitachi on my notebook which is only USB 1.1. It
was working ok until it prompted 'High Speed device
connected to slow speed port' or something like that and
ever since the drive has completely dissappeared. I
cannot see the drive any where (Device Manager, Disk
Mangement) also no effect if I plug, or un-plug the
device without stopping it. The drive shows a light.
There's no problem with the voltage. Also, the drive
works fine on other machines (WinXP, Win2K, Win98).

Need your help please. Cannot rollback the drivers as it
happened sometime ago.

Do please let me know if you need more information.

Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!!! Really need your help.

Y

I assume you have read this? It's a fresh link:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=psg1MIGR-50658

How long did it work prior to that notification?
Did you re-install the drivers?
IBM does flatly say that it is not supported.... maybe you just got lucky
for awhile.
