View Full Version : Win XP corrupts files that are copied to slave hard disk !!

In case that I configure and mount one of my hard disks
as a slave drive, I often get corrupted files after
copying image (jpg) or mpg-files from other drives to
this slave drive. In such a case some files are not
accessable in explorer and after restarting Windows, XP
shows a light blue screen which reports that it is
repairing some files (including crc-error messages). As a
result when I try to view the images they appear to be
corrupted.

I've seen this problem for several brands of drives. It
doesn't appear when I configure the drives to master. So
it seems to me that XP doesn't function properly with
slave drives to which files are copied to. Has this
problem been assigned yet ? Is there a solution to solve
this ?
