In the process of looking for cheap fares, I ended up at SideStep.com's
website. I now find that they installed their program or something an some
other programs got installed. As a result:

1. I am getting pop up Ads from BargainBuddy.

2. Item called "Search Assistant" has been added to the Taskbar's Toolbar
and whenever I start my computer 'Search the Web" address appears on the
Taskbar even after I have unchecked it on the Taskbar's Toolbar!

When I clicked on the "Search the Web" it took me to site called BlazeFind.
So I searched for BlazeFind on my computer and the following files showed
up: msxml.ini, msxml.info, msxml.dll and msxml.Dat. I deleted these files,
restarted the computer but still the Search Assistant is residing on the
Taskbar's Toolbar.

3. The Quicklauch is moved to left side of the taskbar. I manually move it
to the right but when I restart the computer, it goes back to the left.

I went through the Add/Remove Programs and deleted the suspicious/unfamiliar
programs but still no joy.

How do I get read of this menace?

Hi

Try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html
