When I change the resolution on my monitor, the changes
won't stick when I reboot the computer. It keeps
defaulting back to the lowest resolution. This is a new
computer, and I tried keeping the old VGA monitor
initially, then bought a new Dell monitor. All the
drivers have been installed. I can change the res either
from Settings or from the Video Graphics icon in Control
panel, but when I reboot it initially comes up with the
800 x 600 res that I applied, then the screen goes blank
for a couple of seconds and comes back with the lower
resolution.
