could anyone help me!? My problem is that my CD-ROM DRIVE
dosn't read a thing. I have uninstalled and then
reinstalled the software for it, yet, it STILL dosen't
read anything. I go into

CONTROL PANEL / PREFORMANCE AND MAINTENANCE /
ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS / COMPUTER MANAGER

then I click DEVICE MANAGER, then I open the DVD/CD-ROM
DRIVES FOLDER and the new folder has a yellow circle on
it with an exclamation mark on it. I click that type of
floder and the PROPERTIES for it comes up. the tab has in
it the DEVICE STATUS. In the box it says - - -

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its
configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete
or damaged. (Code 19)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this
device.

I have clicked troubleshoot and it dosn't seem to help.
Could anyone help me out of this dillema?

Thanks
Glenn

"CD-ROM Drive or DVD-ROM Drive Missing After You Install Windows XP"

(There are other ways to get this problem, some with links at the bottom of
the web page.)

An automated fix is:

Good luck.
