Dont know if in right forum but can anyone help, after
about 10 mins my ADSL connections drops out, I then have
to want up to 5 mins for it to reinitialise, unplug the
modem or reboot. After that once reconnected it works
fine until I close the pc down then the same happens again
Windows XP all service packs and patches installed.

This is an issue your ISP can deal with. If most likely has little to do
with Windows.

Hello
Few things to check or replace.
1. Replace your network card.
2. Or make sure that you have the updated drivers for you Nic card
3. Contact your ISP Provider and have them test your line and Modem
4. Good luck, give that a try
