IE 6

I can not change the home page on Internet Explorer 6. A
web page is now stuck as my home page and when I go to
Tools>Internet Options, the home page section is shadowed
out and can not change. I tried reinstalling IE with no
change. Can anyone PLEASE help. It's making me furious!

Start > Run > Regedit [press enter]

Browse to this Key
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1957994488-1482476501-725345543-1003\Software\Microsoft\
Internet Explorer\Main

Locate Start Page and change it to your required page if possible.

Your S-1-5-21 number might be different

Would be easier to use something like Registry Crawler to search for the web
page that is locked in there and then browse to the key.

Sounds like you could have a virus or some spyware is doing it. Download
Adaware from www.lavasoft.de and clear any spyware off your computer.
