too many windows?

Is there a limit to the number of windows I can have open
on my desktop at the same time? I am using about four
programs that use toolbars. Flash Pro, Illustrator, Cute
FTP, etc. When I tried to open Photoshop there was a
dialog box that said something like, "no more windows can
be created (I'm paraphrasing)" and the program shut down.
If there is a limit, is it configurable? Any help would
be appreciated.

I haven't run into any limitation and I often have multiple windows open (4
x FrontPage, 4 x Word, PhotoDraw, OE, Outlook, IE etc etc.... but if you're
running all those graphics programs I hope you have a really fast CPU and
LOTS of RAM as they're ALL heavy users of processing power.

Well, I have 1.5 Gig of RAM and a 2800 computer so I don'
think that's the limitation. It's wierd cause I've don
similar work before and I don't remember this being a
problem. I did all the requisite virus checking and such
so I think there may be a limitation within windows
regarding how many windows can be open at a time. Each of
these programs have myriad too pallettes. Thanks for the
help though!
