I am using Windows XP Pro and just had this problem 2
days ago. I even tried to reinstall my Windows just now
(using the repair not the fresh install option) but the
problem persists.
When I right click any folder icon and select properties
from the pop-up menu, nothing happens (for maybe 1 second
the hard drive light goes on signaling there might be
some activities but eventually nothing comes up). I can't
see the Folder Properties Windows that used to display.
So I cannot change the sharing, check the size, or change
the permission settings of any folders on my computer now.
Strangely, if I right click any file icon and choose
properties, there is no problem at all.
Please suggest what to do. I really don't want to format
and reinstall everything. Thanks.
