Recently had to wipe my XP Pro install and reload.
Accomplished reload with no problems. Went to Windows
update site to download and install updates. About 1/3
accomplished successfully. Then I received error that
update failed (No Updates Were Installed. The following
items failed to install. To try installing them again,
click Review and install updates, and then click Install
Now again.)

Upon investigation of the Windows Update.log file it
listed the error: 2004-06-04 21:36:18 02:36:18
Error IUENGINE See iuhist.xml for details:
Install finished (Error 0x80070052: The directory or file
cannot be created.)

The iuhist.xml file lists: <installStatus value="FAILED"
needsReboot="0" errorCode="-2147024814" />

I have searched for the answer but are having no luck.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem? Otherwise I
will have to wipe and try again. Please email me at:
or

Thanks
