I have recently installed Win XP Pro on my 40 GB hard
disk using NTFS file system. Now I had an old hard disk
of 4 GB formatted with FAT 32 but the problem is when I
connect it as primary slave after installing windows
windows xp doesnt detect it. I want to transfer files
from my old HDD to my 40 GB NTFS but even in dos NTFS
isnt detected. My FAT32 drive has all imp. files which I
need is there a way to transfer these to 40 gb and then
format the old hdd with NTFS.

Hi,

Once you have it added as Slave (also verify the jumper), go into the Device
Manager/Open Disk Drives, right click then select: Scan for Hardware
Changes. Now check Windows Explorer.
