My computer freezes up with cpu usage at 100% and the only
thing using is iexplore with 99% or 100% cpu usage. What is
this thing doing and how can i fix it. My other computer i
had never did this with XP home.

We first must determine what it causing this CPU spike.

Can you open task manager (rt click taskbar) and select the process tab. On that tab,
you can see what process (may be a background process) that is the offender.

Post back what info you find.

The process that consumes 100% is iexplore.exe, any ideas
will be appreciated

It's probably not IE, but some downloaded add-on to IE that is causing this. Download
these two and run them.

Spybot

There are freeware version available that should do the trick if it is an IE
add-on/hijacker program.

Good luck.
