Hi,
have problem with Infrared device : win XP.
Device is Hoya InfraRed to USB adapter. Drivers installed, device
reconginzed and installed.
InfraRed FTP is activated if I double click systray IR icon.
If I position my cellular phone in front of it and activated my phones IR
connection, the device recognizes its presence and systary icon displays
"L-Series in range" ( my phone is a motorola L-series one)
If I use the software I got with the IR-USB adapter I can connect and
download part of my phone's phonebook to the PC. But only part of it ( no
names !!!)
Earlier, on my old PC with on board IR, I used the TrueSync software
specially designed for thes phones.
Now that software has a prerequisite : IR must be identified to a COM port !
That could be done in Win98SE ( assign the IR port to a COM port). In Win XP
I have found no way to achieve this !
Any help ????
Many thanks !
