After reviewing your questions (from the past 2 years), might I suggest
this:
Type your questions here:
http://www.google.com/grphp?hl=en&tab=wg&q
and/or here:
http://www.google.com/
It will likely come up with a post done by you or with a similar one from
the past. I can find no record (at this time) of a question you have asked
that was not answered in the newsgroups or on some web page before you asked
it. Other people have posted this before and it seems you may have had a
stroke between June 4, 2003 and September 15, 2003. http://snipurl.com/6udj
Fair enough. I meant no offense, but you must consider the forum and the
ease at which intentions can be misread.
As far as your question, I did answer it earlier - the simple fact is that
there is support from Microsoft, but only if you bought a RETAIL copy of the
operating system. Otherwise your support comes from the people you bought
the copy from.
If your copy of Windows XP came in a nice box, it's retail. If it came with
the computer or in a cellophane wrapper with a piece of cardboard, it's
likely NOT retail.
The best (and easiest) support for all products (not just Microsoft ones) is
searching the Internet for answers using the first two methods I gave at the
beginning of this post.
