I have a major problem. On my main, big hard-drive I have a corrupted XP Pro
OS. On my second, small hard-drive I have XP Home that I boot to.

I want to install XP Home on my main one (this PC no longer has the Pro
licence). The problem is when set-up is run from the CD it only gives me the
choice of my second hard-drive (D drive) that already has XP Home on it. In
other words, it doesn't seem to detect my main hard-drive (C drive) at all.

How has this happened and how can I solve this problem? When I boot to XP
Home it sees the C drive where I can access files with no problem at all.

Thanks for your attention and any help you can give me.

David

Well, load D then format C in Windows

That'll fix it!. Then make C or D primary
master and the other slave. in BIOS
and make sure you change the jumpers
on both C and D, so one is master and
1 is slave.
