wondering if anyone could help me do a print screen of my
desktop items. Tried the prtscr button, and tried to
paste to a word doc, but wouldnt paste it. seems lke i
tired every buton available. anyone know how to do a
scren shot of the desktop to printout?

Paste it into MSPaint first and save it.

Start>>Run>>"mspaint"

I cant seem to get it even to copy first. There is a app
window I'm tring to get a printout of. I tried to do the
print screen, but it doesnt seem to do a copy so i can
paste it somewhere.

If that doesnt work try using a third party print screen util.

Greetings --

Pressing the <PrtScn> key copies the entire display to the
clipboard. Pressing <ALT>+<PrtScn> copies only the active Window to
the clipboard. To view the screen capture, open a graphics program,
such as MS Paint, and press <CTRL>+V. This will paste the contents of
the clipboard (your screenshot) into the open file, and allow you to
view it or save it as a file for later use.
