Every time I boot up I get the above message and a note
to hit F1 to continue. Also on My Computer I get to
floppy drives shown: A & B. A does not work, but B acts
like A used to. How do I fix? Thanks

I got a diskette error when my new computer was straight out of the
box. The floppy drive wasn't connected - the power attachment was just
dangling. It was easy enough to fix, but annoying.

In your case, you seem to have a functioning floppy drive, so perhaps
you'd better wait for advice from an expert.

Two semi-random suggestions:

Some PCs come with floppy cables with two connectors. The "A" drive should
be using the connector at the end of the cable, I believe. If it isn't, it
may appear as the "B" drive.)

You may also have a BIOS setting that permits you to exchange the floppy
drive letters. has it somehow been set?

Good luck.

Spam dodger may be in use. Replace nkbob with bobkn.
