printer compatability

I cannot print with my Brother HL-1440 which works
perfectly with Windows 98.

I have used the current driver from Brothers but I get
the followning error message "The Print Spooler has
encounted a problem" and shuts down!!

Can anyone help?

What driver did you use?
The drivers on the CD are probably too old.
Download new ones from Brother web site.
