worm virus

i recently installed the security patch for the worm
virus and it worked fine. however i made my computer go
back to an earlier point before i installed the the
security patch as i had a file on my computer that was
causing me some problems. i have downloaded the patch
again but now it wont install on the computer it says
that windows cannot identify the integrity of the file
make sure the cryptographic servis is running which it is
what do i do please help as this virus is gettin very
annoying thank you.

How To Fix The Cryptographic Service Error
Special thanks to Marc Liron for the following:
Are YOU getting the following error when you try to install Windows XP
Service Pack 1?
"Service Pack 1 Setup Error:
Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the
Cryptographic service is running on this computer"
Or
YOU are trying to install the Windows XP security patch 823980 - in
response to the msblast.exe worm and you are getting a similar error
message.
