when I start my computer I get a black screen with the
message, Non-System disk or disk error. Replace and
strike any key when ready.
How do I get my computer to start in the correct manner?

Haus - don't be so melodramatic! It could be that he's simply left a floppy
in the drive!

Hello
Well when I leave a floppy in it tells me something like, non-bootable
device detected remove and press any key to restart.

I still say the HDD is crapped out.

*Non system disk or disk error* is *EXACTLY* the message you receive when
you leave a floppy in the drive.
