laptop keyboard at fault

curser keeps jumping and inserting text at previous points
to produce garbage. keyboard properties says there is an
error but troubleshooter only lists problems in accessing
plugin keyboards.

My pc appears to think I have a plugin keyboard on a port,
and will not let the integral keyboard work normally

Go to Start > Help and Support and type: TEXT , and hit enter.
Click on the Task titled: "Turn text services off or on". You need
to "turn off" Text Services.
